Caitlin

Practice Manager

Caitlin returns to Best Friends Animal Hospital after a 5-year hiatus and starting a family of her own. While she mostly remained in the veterinary field during this hiatus, she is still very excited to rejoin the BFAH team! When she’s not at the office, Caitlin enjoys date nights with her husband, tattoos, live music, being outdoors, and spending quality time with her family and friends. Along with her two children, Caitlin has two rescue dogs named Odie and Loki that she adopted from Tennessee in 2015. She most certainly has her hands full but wouldn’t have it any other way!

Madison

Lead Customer Service Representative

Madison was born and raised in Syracuse, New York. She recently relocated to Manchester with her boyfriend Alex. Together they have Kipper, a mixed breed they recently adopted as a rescue from Georgia.

She grew up loving all things ecological. She had with the best dog in the world, Ruby. Rescuing her as a child (along with her family) is one of her favorite memories of growing up. Madison attended the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry and earned a B.S. in Environmental Education and Interpretation.

Before coming to Best Friends, she worked near Syracuse on her family’s farm taking care of horses, cows, chicken, sheep, and goats. In her free time, she loves hiking, kayaking, swimming, taking naps, and cooking. She is still trying to figure out what she wants to be when she grows up; in the meantime, she’s enjoying learning and providing excellent customer service here at Best Friends.

Sheila

Veterinary Technician Assistant

Animals were always Sheila’s biggest fascination, ever since she was little, and she and everyone she knew expected her to end up working with animals when she was old enough. It’s safe to say that Sheila’s job today would make her younger self proud! Everyone at Best Friends Animal Hospital has been extremely welcoming; from the moment she joined the team, she felt included. She appreciates how diverse the job really is because she gets to learn many new things each day. Sheila also loves helping pets and their people and knowing she was able to contribute to their wellbeing.

Sheila has two daughters, and they share their home with two dogs: Jazzy, an English Bulldog mix, and Duke, a Great Dane mix. She loves spending her free time with her family; she and her fiancé like to go fishing or take her daughters to the park or to nature trails so they can experience new sites, sounds, and smells.

Sabrina

Veterinary Technician Assistant

Sabrina comes from a family of animal lovers and grew up around and cared for all kinds, including dogs, cats, birds, and reptiles. She decided to pursue veterinary medicine thanks to encouragement from her partner, Jessica, and so she could put her passion for all living things to good use! Sabrina loves interacting with pets every day, learning new things, and being part of such a great team here at Best Friends Animal Hospital. She shares her home with a variety of pets, including a cat named Sox (that she’s had since she was 7 years old), a Lab/Pit mix named Vader, along with many small animals, birds, and fish. Outside of work, Sabrina likes to spend time outside with her pets, tend to her houseplant collection, and go on a day-long hike or road trip.

Ceralene

Veterinary Technician Assistant

Ceralene knew from a young age that it was her destiny to work with animals in the veterinary industry, and she promptly set her mind to getting there. She worked her way through college and earned an associate’s degree in veterinary technology. Her love and passion for animals originated with her mother, a strong advocate for animal welfare and rescue, and together they have taken in many furry friends over the years. Ceralene strives daily to fulfill their shared dream of making a difference in this ever-evolving field.

Ceralene’s passion only grew stronger once she discovered the world of animal rehabilitation. For many years, she has worked with mobility devices and therapeutic apparatuses catered to helping animals with mobility issues and disabilities. She hopes one day to expand in this field and allow greater access to and awareness of this specialty.

Ceralene currently lives in her native territory of Manchester with her fiancé. They enjoy traveling to see concerts, eating great food, and making music together. They’re no strangers to taking in animals in need and are currently housing two rats and their wonderful foster pup! They are more than excited to expand their family and can’t wait for what the future has in store!

Mikayla

Customer Service Representative

Mikayla wanted to work with animals for just about her whole life, and after working as a receptionist for a physical therapist for 10 years, she made the switch to veterinary medicine and is now a treasured member of our team! She loves meeting all the dogs and cats that come in every day and getting to work with people who have the same passion for animals that she does. Growing up, Mikayla was only ever able to have birds or fish as pets due to an allergy. Today, she has 5 dogs with her boyfriend: Nali, a Pit Bull mix; Stella, a Corgi mix; Winter, an Island Hound dog; Porter, an English Mastiff mix; and Brewski, a Border Collie mix.

In her free time, Mikayla loves camping, hiking, fishing, checking out breweries, attending dog events and sports, and walking on the beach.
